HOW TO APPLY FOR ENROLMENT
The enrolment process of Simonds Catholic College operates within the Enrolment Guidelines of the Melbourne Catholic Education Office. Students who are Catholic receive priority when enrolling; however, Simonds Catholic College welcomes enrolment applications from other Christian and religious traditions.
Year 7 Entry
Simonds Catholic College enrolment process for Year 7 commences in Year 5 for prospective students. To apply for a Year 7 place at Simonds Catholic College, whether you are from a Catholic, Government or Independent school, follow the four easy steps to enrol:
Step One - Apply
Download and complete the Enrolment Application Form or pick up a hardcopy from the St Mary’s Campus office. Return fully completed Enrolment Form in person to the St Mary’s Campus office, by mail or email to the College Registrar, accompanied by a copy of your son's Birth Certificate, Year 5 NAPLAN report and the most recent Semester Report. If your son was born overseas, copies of the Permanent Residency or Visa documents are required. A non-refundable Enrolment Application Fee of $110 must also be paid upon submission of the completed Enrolment Form.
Step Two - Interview
Attend an enrolment interview with the College Principal. The Registrar will contact you regarding your application and, if there is a position available, will arrange an interview with the Principal. An application for enrolment does not guarantee a place.
Step Three – Offer of place
Upon a successful interview, a Letter of Offer will be posted to families.
Step Four - Accepting the offer
Upon accepting a place at Simonds Catholic College, a non-refundable Enrolment Acceptance Deposit of $350 is payable to confirm your son’s enrolment. This fee will be deducted from your family’s first fee account.
Year 8-12 Entry or Year 7-12 Mid-Year Entry
Entry at other year levels or mid-year placements for Years 7-12 can be accommodated if places are available. Once an Enrolment Form, Enrolment Application Fee ($110) and required documentation has been received, the Principal will conduct an interview with the student and his parents/guardians. Upon acceptance of an offer of a place at Simonds Catholic College, a non-refundable Enrolment Acceptance Deposit of $350 is payable to confirm your son’s enrolment; this fee will be deducted from your family’s first fee account and is non-refundable.
