Annual Arts and Technology Show
At Simonds we believe it is important to celebrate more than just academic achievement. Students works across the fields of Visual and Performing Arts, and Technologies are showcased annually, allowing students to celebrate through performances, music ensembles and premiering media works. All visual and technology works across years 7-12 are also presented allowing students to appreciate and understand the achievements across the years.
Shared Stories Anthology
Shared Stories Anthology is a collection of Visual and Literary works across over 25 Victorian Schools, published and archived in the State Library of Victoria. Produced through Catholic Education Melbourne, students have the opportunity for their work to be appreciated and celebrated for their achievements.
ACC Arts and Technology show
Associated Catholic Colleges, produce a biannual Arts and Technology show held in the Federation Square Atrium, and previously Deakin’s Edge, celebrating achievement across all ACC schools. Students work is held on display for one week to immerse students in a gallery experience.
Year 10-12 ACC Chess
In August, students compete in the annual ACC Chess tournament with many student from years 10-12 participating. Students from all over Melbourne and Geelong are hosted at St Brigid's Campus Hall for a great day of Chess. The atmosphere, ia alive with anticipation and with everyone enthusiastic about about the day. Students made new friends from different schools, learn new Chess moves, sufferdefeats and wins but most importantly display great sportsmanship and thoroughly enjoy themselves.
