Instrumental Lessons

All students at St Mary’s have the opportunity to sign up for individual or paired lessons on a range of instruments including guitar, drums and electronic composition. Fees for these lessons are added to school fees.


Weekly Music Clubs

SIMPLY STRINGS

  • Students can learn to play the violin or cello in a supportive group environment. Arrangements are made especially for the skills of the group so all are welcome from beginners to experienced string players

REBEL CLEFS

  • A vocal group for all boys who enjoy singing. No prior experience necessary. Students get to choose the songs they want to sing.

ROCK BAND

  • Anyone who plays an instrument or likes to sing or rap is welcome to join us for a noisy afterschool session! Students get to choose the music they want to play.

GUITAR CLUB

  • Catering for all levels of guitarists, from absolute beginners to accomplished players. A chance to jam with others or learn some new chords and riffs.

JAM CLUB

  • An opportunity to freely explore the instruments in the music department and jam with your friends

MONTHLY LUNCHTIME CONCERTS

  • An opportunity to perform to a supportive audience, or come along and listen. Students of all levels of performance are welcome to play on any instrument or voice.

MASS CHOIR

  • A group of boys who sing the Mass settings at St Mary’s church for school masses.
